PIE Consulting works with school districts to establish Partners In Education programs that meet the unique community engagement needs within their schools. This isn't a cookie cutter approach, but rather an evaluation of needs and available community resources to design programs that fit local circumstances.
Partners In Education programs could impact these areas:
- Staff recognition
- Career awareness
- Teacher resources
- Academic support
- Fundraising
- District-wide PIE infrastructure development
- Promotional efforts
- Other areas identified in your district

Can My District Support a Coupon Book Campaign?
Can My District Support a Coupon Book Campaign?
Here are a few questions to consider if you are interested in the Schools Win Coupon Book program:
- Does my school district have 10,000+ students or can we collaborate with sister school districts to meet that minimum threshold?
- Does my local community or combination of communities have enough businesses to generate a minimum of 140 discount offers?
- Can our district commit to this as a district-wide effort?
District-Wide or Multi-District Models Work for Schools to Generate Significant Funding
District-Wide or Multi-District Models Work for Schools to Generate Significant Funding
PIE Consulting offers special fundraising experience to school districts utilizing the Schools Win Coupon Book as the tool to fundraising success. The program has a long track record of success in the Knoxville, TN area, but the model works for any individual school district with 10,000+ students, or where multiple school districts can collaborate to create the number of schools/students needed for minimum print quantities.
The Schools Win Coupon Book Campaign currently running with schools in Anderson County, Clinton City, Oak Ridge, and Campbell County Schools in East Tennessee, is a great example of the potential for this program to produce significant funding for individual schools. The 27 participating schools in these four school districts combined to net over $130,000 for their schools in the two-week campaign in September 2017.
The concept revolves around local businesses placing discount offers in the coupon book at NO COST, then schools selling the $10 Schools Win Coupon Book over a two to three week period. Individual schools keep 70% of the proceeds to meet classroom needs. This ultimately is an individual school fundraiser where the schools set their own goals, but it is managed under the umbrella of a district-wide or multi-district effort. Schools have no minimum order and they can return any unsold inventory! Risk is at a minimum with this program and rewards can be terrific for your schools.
PIE Consulting's Scott Bacon managed the successful coupon book in Knox County Schools for 25 years. That particular program has netted that school district over $33,000,000 since its inception in 1989. With Schools Win, school supporters win with valuable discounts, businesses win with new and/or increased customer traffic, and Schools Win with additional resources to serve their students!

PIE Consuting works with businesses to help them build and grow effective educational partnership programs. In today's environment, it simply isn't enough to have your business be visible in the k-12 arena. There is an expectation from schools that an investment of time, talent, and resources from business partners will have a positive impact on students and educators. Conversely, businesses want to have confidence that their investment is the best utilization of their resources.
PIE Consulting can help businesses find the sweet spot where their commitment to make a difference merges with needs within the schools they wish to serve. Having experience on both sides of the partnership equation gives us a unique perspective on this delicate balance.

PIE Consulting can work with your foundation to help you expand the effectiveness of your work. Foundations that support schools in the k-12 environment often suffer from a lack of sustainability due to their reliance on individuals who have a vested interest in the goals of the organization for just a few years. These people often move on after graduation or the student moving to the next school.
PIE Consulting can assist your school foundation in maintaining or re-establishing the work of the foundation. We offer your foundation the ability to have a person keeping activities moving and assisting with key contacts in the community.

Take Advantage of the Folks on Your Front Porch!
Athletic events are like the front porch for high schools and small colleges. Members of the general public who would likely never enter your school doors, are at your athletic events on a regular basis. Take advantage of this opportuniy to showcase school success! We can help develop these opportunities and tie local businesses into the efforts to brag on school successes.
Added Revenues to Support Teams
Added Revenues to Support Teams
PIE Consulting has years of experience in working with athletics at the high school and small college levels to help athletic departments generate more revenue for their programs. The growth of expenses associated with high school and small college athletics continue to outpace the growth in revenues at the gate. As more streaming efforts come on board, these challenges will only grow.
PIE Consulting brings experience that can produce revenues beyond simply placing signage in your venue...though that is still a good sell for many community businesses! Whether looking at publications to promote your athletics programs, exploring options to develop revenue streams through online streaming efforts, or developing promotional events around your sporting events, there are additional sources of revenues in today's marketplace.
PIE Consulting can also work with you to provide support for your social media presence and the opportunities for this growing profile of your athletics programs to generate promotional benefits for your sports teams.
